Group Rides

GROUP RIDE DETAILS:

SAFETY FIRST! Group Rides conform with Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF)Guidelines. SAFETY BRIEFINGS are scheduled at the beginning of each trip, please plan to attend. Group routes are carefully planned, taking advantage of as many scenic back roads as possible. Rides are approximately 3 hours long with regularly scheduled rest stops. The OFFICIAL ride also includes a devotional and usually ends with a meal. After eating, the Group Ride is officially over and riders individually or in small groups are 'FREE' to head home using any route.

FREE RIDE DETAILS:

SAFETY FIRST! Although the routes and details are not necessarily pre-planned and there is not always a specific program or destination in mind, FREE RIDES should conform with Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) Guidelines. FREE RIDES are not 'official' rides, but are encouraged and available to all for fellowship and riding enjoyment. Want to PLAN a FREE RIDE? Simply declare it via email and see who shows up! If declared at least a week in advance , we will add it to the RIDE SCHEDULE which can be found on the calendar in the Message Board section.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

1) A Motorcycle (or someone who will let you be a passenger on theirs) 2) A full tank of gas and an empty bladder 3) Money for meals, snacks, tolls. 4) A freewill offering will also be used to support ministry costs.

Bad Weather Policy
Now that we are entering the rainy season and there is a more-likely chance that rain MAY interfere with our scheduled rides, please be advised of our long-standing policy regarding cancellation of a ride. While it is always a member's option to go on a chapter ride when it is raining, a decision will be made by the Road Captain whether the SANCTIONED ride will take place. Riding in the rain is a safety issue we should always consider. We will send an email to membership if the ride is being cancelled, check your email before you leave home if the weather looks questionable. However, that being said, the actual formal cancellation of a ride will occur at the time and place the ride begins. The Road Captain running the ride will be present at the designated time and location where the ride begins to advise those present of the decision
